My dear family and friends
It's been a month since i left home and most of all i miss my
wonderful grandsons Max and Levitt-to hold, to hug , to kiss and to
listen to their stories, even i called them and talk to them,
We took Yangzi river cruise- 3 nights and 2 full days- on Chinese
ship "Dragon" and were surrounded by 1000 of dragons everythere-on
chairs,tables,doors.ceilings,walls,decks, it was very chinese,beautiful
carvings created a certain aura,
we sailed through spectacular scenery- river is very low and very
narrow [100-300m] and huge, huge mountains on both
banks, the weather was hazy and the filling was "how drammatic
and mystereous the nature is".
Yangzi river is China's longest river and the 3rd longest river in
the world after Amazon and Nile. it starts in Tibet and emptys
near Shanghai in the East China Sea,
we had a tour of a model "The Three Gorges Dam', it is so
impressive, it will back the river up to 550 km,flood an area the size
of Singapore, displaced 2 million people and 3 famous gorges will be
under water so we took the cruise right on time, it will be completed
in 2009,
we met travelers from many countries, were sitted at the table
with the french couple and 4 austrian men- friends traveling
together; in the conversation french said-- yes,
terrorism will hit them too, everybody is trying to be pleasant ,
tolerant and with humor talking about political issues.
Mush love to all of you,
